Why Thomas Sumter?

Thomas Sumter Academy is a COGNIA accredited, independent college preparatory school focusing on the education of the whole child through the emphasis on academics, athletics, arts, and the development of moral character.

Located near the middle of the state, TSA serves the cities of Sumter, Camden, and Columbia; as well as Shaw AFB and other surrounding areas. Our 15-acre facility is centered around our historical main building. Our students in grades PK3 through 12 come from a wide range of ethnic and economic backgrounds.
