The admissions process starts with the submission of an application for your child. Accompanying the application should be two recommendation forms, a copy of your child’s latest report card, and a copy of their latest standardized test scores. If your child has not previously taken a standardized test, please indicate this when you return the application.
You will be contacted to schedule a family tour of the school and an evaluation for your child. The Admissions Director will select the evaluation tool depending upon the age and educational background of your child. Nationally recognized evaluation tools used by the Admissions staff to determine the potential success of your child at Thomas Sumter Academy include WIAT III, Dial-3, and the abbreviated Stanford.
The Admissions Committee will review information received from the application, recommendations, interview, and evaluation. Upon receiving acceptance of admission to Thomas Sumter Academy, you will need to supply a copy of your child’s SC immunization form and a completed physical form.
Thomas Sumter does not discriminate in its admission policies or any school administered programs on the basis of race, color, creed or national origin.
